President
Kathleen Tansley

Kathleen hails from the beautiful province of New Brunswick, where her journey in sales and customer service began over two decades ago. With unwavering dedication and a commitment to excellence, she has honed her skills to perfection. Today, Kathleen proudly serves as the President of TAES, a role that places her at the helm of all client and customer-related endeavors. Her leadership shines through in identifying promising new sales opportunities and consistently exceeding customer
expectations.


Beyond her illustrious professional career, Kathleen finds immense joy in her personal life. She cherishes her role as a grandmother to two grandchildren who bring boundless joy and love into her world. Kathleen is not only a dedicated professional but also a passionate individual. Her interests encompass a love for cooking and interior decorating, where she infuses creativity into every aspect of her life.


Kathleen's connection to nature is evident through her favorite outdoor activities. She enjoys leisurely walks with her beloved dog, Marley, and tends to her garden with a green thumb, cultivating beauty and tranquility in her outdoor spaces. Kathleen embodies a harmonious balance between her thriving professional life and her fulfilling personal passions.

Vice President
Mark G. Tansley

Mark was born in Edmonton and raised in Calgary. Marks' wealth of industry knowledge began when he spent four years in the production Chemical manufacturing industry (Process Chemicals), which then lead to his 13 years in Oil and Gas Drilling Operations.

From there, and with all his experience and entrepreneurial mindset, TAES was created, which is where 26+ years of environmental waste disposal and odorant chemical distribution experiences come from.

Mark enjoys the outdoors and is an avid fisher and boatsman. He recently completed his inaugural voyage as captain of a fly fishing drift boat on the Bow River. If he is not paddling down the Bow River, Mark is rocking out with his band, following CrossFit or the University of Alberta women's soccer team.

Senior Operations Manager,
Odorant Division
Chad Marshall

Chad was born in Ontario and moved to Alberta in 1994. He attended the University of Calgary, majoring in Geography.

Chad started at TAES as an Environmental Field Technician and moved onto various managerial positions within the company.Chad's current role at TAES is Senior Operations Manager, Odorant Division.

Chad is a huge sports fan; if you cannot find him on the golf course or the baseball diamond, he might be off jet setting or spending time with family and friends.

Odorant Supervisor
Jac Leeuwenburgh

Jac has been working for TAES since 2000, originally a senior field supervisor in the environmental field.

He took the position of Odorant Supervisor for its flexibility and field-work opportunities. He coordinates the delivery of odorant to clients, works on clean-up jobs, and uphold safety standards.

Jac holds a bio-sciences degree from the University of Calgary, and a land resource management diploma from Olds College.

Outside of work, he enjoys racing radio-controlled cars on outdoor tracks, camping in the Albertan wilderness, and spending time with his six children.

Finance Manager
Holly Farkes

Holly was born and raised in Alberta. She holds an Accounting degree from the Henderson College of Business and has completed the Petroleum Land Administration program at SAIT Polytechnic.

Holly handles all things accounting and has been with TAES for 14 years. One of the largest projects Holly worked on was the merger of two companies (Mark’s father’s business and another environmental company) into what is now TAES. Holly’s favourite part of the job is her fellow TAES employees; everyone is a pleasure to work with.

Outside of work, Holly does competitive cattle penning and enjoys hitting the local links.

Safety and Compliance Manager
Luci Tansley

Luci was born and raised in Calgary. Luci completed her Business Degree at Mount Royal University while on a varsity soccer scholarship.

After completing her degree, Luci started working at Tansley. Currently, she runs the Tansley NSC safety program as well as our COR health and safety program. Luci’s goal is to not only pass the COR but make it an even better and safer program for all of our staff.

When not behind the desk, you might find Luci dirt biking with her two doodles and husband, crushing a PR at Crossfit Culture, trying to get lost in the mountains or starting her Christmas season planning early.

Human Resources Manager
Bonnie Lawrence

Bonnie is a seasoned Human Resources Professional (CPHR) with seven years of experience, including five years in a HR Director role.

Specializing in fostering a culture of performance excellence, Bonnie sees HR as the vital link between leadership and employees. Her expertise spans various HR areas, including compensation, performance management, training, and development, as well as employee retention. With skills in guiding, coaching, and leading, she secures organizational buy-in through openness and effective communication.

In her previous role, Bonnie collaborated with SAIT to design a comprehensive leadership and future leader development program, integrating mentorship, courses, and speakers. She is dedicated to creating cultures where management leads, and employees thrive.

Safety/Operations Technician
Tammy Gowin

Tammy originates from Calgary, where she spent her formative years and subsequently earned her degree from the Petroleum Engineering Technology program at SAIT.

With an impressive 26-year background in the Oil & Gas Industry, Tammy takes on versatile roles within the organization. Her responsibilities encompass Salesforce Administration, overseeing safety protocols, and conducting thorough research on ISO 9001 policies and procedures, underscoring her extensive experience in the field.

Outside the professional realm, Tammy cherishes moments spent with her children and furry companions. Her passion for the outdoors comes to life through activities like horseback riding and various other recreational pursuits.

Warehouse Manager
Allan Peterson

Allan is from Bowden, Alberta, and attended Red Deer College. He has 13 years of oil field service experience. As well as running our Bowden Warehouse, Allan's is in charge of the decommissioning of odorant vessels, Mercaptan deliveries, and bulk deliveries.

Allan spends his downtime enjoying the outdoors from camping to fishing and shooting.

Operations Supervisor
Dave Johnston

Dave was born and raised in Central Alberta.

He has 25 + years of Oilfield experience. Dave joined us in January 2020, and currently is our Operations Supervisor.

In the winter, Dave loves to ski, and in the Summer, he is often found camping near water with his family and friends.

Operations Support Specialist
Dan Baker

Dan Baker brings a wealth of experience and expertise from the dynamic fields of core drilling, well production testing, event production management, and business operations.

Born in Ontario, Dan was raised abroad, including Bonaire and Venezuela, moving to Alberta during his teenage years. His hands-on approach has shaped a successful career marked by team leadership and systems management skills, utilizing experiences from his diverse background.

Outside of work, Dan finds inspiration in travel and woodworking. Currently residing in Alberta, he continues to leave a lasting impact on both the energy sector and the communities he serves.
